Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Internal Stakeholders: Work closely with internal teams, including Network Security, Cloud teams, and Advanced Operations, to define requirements and design specifications for traditional network and multi-cloud connectivity solutions.
- Technical Validation: Review internal and external supplier proposals and quotations, and perform technical validation of supplier solutions to ensure they meet company technology standards.
- Automation and Cloud-Native Solutions: Actively seek opportunities for functional and process improvement via automation and adoption of cloud-native connectivity solutions.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Investigate and support troubleshooting efforts on internal and Cloud network technical issues.
- Governance and Improvement: Support governance and improvements in capacity, demand, release, and lifecycle, change, and incident management activity from a Network perspective.
- Guidance and Recommendations: Provide guidance and recommendations on cloud and automation solutions to the Network team.
- Documentation and Policy Development: Document network environments and develop and deploy network policy documents.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in a network engineering role.
- Technical Skills: Excellent understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP routing, and core technologies such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, ACLs, IPSEC, DNS, etc.
- Cloud and Automation Experience: Working knowledge of multi-cloud network (AWS and Azure ideally) and connectivity deployments, including Transit Gateway and Virtual WAN, native firewall, and Security groups technologies.
- Scripting and API Utilization: Scripting and API utilization experience (preferably Python, XSOAR, ServiceNow).
- Enterprise Network Infrastructure: Experience developing and implementing enterprise-grade network infrastructure that is efficient, scalable, resilient, and secure in its design.
- Cloud and Hybrid Environment: Experience with apps to cloud migrations and support of a hybrid environment of on-prem and Cloud infrastructure.
- Complex Troubleshooting: Experience in complex troubleshooting connectivity issues in both cloud and traditional network environments.
- Geographically Distributed Team: Experience working within a geographically distributed IT team spread across multiple time zones.
- Leadership and Initiative: Ability to work on your own initiative while also providing guidance and technical leadership in a group setting.
