About the Role
The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will design and build the global infrastructure for our cloud services, which comprise hundreds of thousands of MongoDB clusters, process a billion metrics per day, and replicate tens of billions of database writes to our backup service. This role requires expertise in infrastructure performance, automation, and monitoring, as well as the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement the infrastructure for our global cloud services, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline service deployment and monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform infrastructure design and implementation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Expertise in infrastructure-as-code and automation tools, such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
