About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Developer to join our team at Nabu Casa. As a key member of our Cloud & Infrastructure team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance, and reliable applications for Home Assistant Cloud services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud-based applications with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability
  • Collaborate with the Support and Home Assistant Core teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of cloud services
  • Implement security and data protection measures to safeguard user data
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in cloud development
Requirements
  • At least five years of professional experience in back-end development
  • At least two years of professional experience in cloud services (preferably AWS)
  • Basic knowledge of system administration
  • Experience with Git & Github
  • Personal experience using Home Assistant
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in NestJS
  • Experience in Terraform
  • Experience in Grafana
  • Experience in Python
  • Knowledge in modern frontend app development
  • Affinity with open-source development and philosophy
