Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation team. As a key member of our strategic Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for establishing a supply chain that meets the ever-growing demands of the Microsoft Cloud and our customers.

This is a critical role that requires a strong background in procurement, supply chain management, and project management. You will work closely with our internal teams, including Planning & Analytics, Procurement, Supplier Quality, and Special Projects, to ensure timely delivery of complex capital projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee supplier labor management in coordination with General Contractors, Scheduling Teams, and Internal Planning Teams.
  • Negotiate and manage change orders for overtime, schedule compression, and acceleration.
  • Lead change order management, monitoring and mitigating the impact of change orders on projects and partners.
  • Facilitate the MEP/OFCI equipment delivery process, including inspections and sign-offs.
  • Manage supplier equipment receiving and defect resolution processes.
  • Align and maintain design changes post-IFC, ensuring alignment with stakeholders.
  • Deliver and coordinate project design information, specifications, compliance documents, and technical submittals.
  • Manage post-award site delivery scheduling, on-time delivery performance, and reporting.
  • Communicate scheduling delays to relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee site-specific LLE performance and collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve issues.
  • Manage technical risk management of design, including timelines and service level agreements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience in Project Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, and/or Operations.
  • Knowledge of data center industry and experience managing various project delivery methods.
  • Ability to lead project teams in defining risk and developing contracting strategies.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with common process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six-Sigma, etc.).
  • Ability to implement new processes and drive sourcing strategy and supply chain execution.
