Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales and Business Development Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sales and business plans, as well as managing and structuring assigned areas within our overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement sales and business plans to achieve commercial and business objectives.
  2. Train and support field and sales representatives in solution-selling skills to drive sales growth and profitability.
  3. Collaborate with sales and field representatives to deliver a comprehensive sales service package to customers.
  4. Act as a liaison between the company and field representatives, facilitating business processes and resolving issues.
  5. Achieve sales goals and targets.
  6. Lead the selling process, identifying customers and sales channels, and managing profit and loss responsibilities, including forecasting sales, tracking margins, and managing costs.
  7. Manage DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and ensure timely payment from customers.
  8. This role may involve supervisory responsibilities and extensive travel.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  2. 5-7 years of extensive and successful sales experience or a combination of education and experience.
  3. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  4. Strong presentation and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to understand and explain technical electrical systems and material handling.
  6. Basic math skills and proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  7. Able to write reports and interpret general business periodicals, manuals, and journals.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Master's degree preferred.
  2. Previous supervisory experience is an asset.
General Job Requirements
  1. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (23 kilos) on a daily basis.
  2. Ability to frequently bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  3. Ability to differentiate colors.
  4. Exposure to harmful materials such as lead and fiberglass products.
  5. Risk of electrical shock.
  6. Work in a plant/warehouse environment with varying working conditions.
