About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cell Test Technician to join our team at BASQUEVOLT, a leading innovator in solid-state lithium batteries. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for performing battery testing and measurements using specialized equipment, providing critical feedback on cell performance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and Document Testing Methods: Collaborate with R&D and Validation engineers to develop and document methods and procedures for cell testing.
  • Design and Implement New Evaluation Methods: Develop and propose new evaluation and test methods to improve the efficiency of our lab.
  • Develop Tools and Software: Create tools with new software to increase the efficiency of the lab and streamline testing processes.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with R&D technical teams, Process engineering, Supply, and IT & automation to ensure seamless integration and effective communication.
  • Build and Maintain Test Fixtures: Design, build, and maintain test fixtures and wiring harnesses for battery cell testing.
  • Run Tests and Analyze Results: Run tests on a range of cell testing equipment and report data/results, providing actionable insights to inform product development.
  • Troubleshoot and Correct Issues: Troubleshoot and correct problems encountered during testing, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • Maintain Equipment and Workspace: Maintain the equipment and workspace to a high standard, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in electronics or chemistry.
  • Programming Skills: Basic programming skills and experience with software development.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to work under strict safety principles.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: High readiness to work with strong engagement and creativity in an interdisciplinary and international environment.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English (both oral and written); Spanish and any other European languages will be a plus.
