The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Platform Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our next-generation data platform. As a Data Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and secure data pipelines using Apache Spark and cloud-based technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data pipelines using Apache Spark and cloud-based technologies
  • Develop and maintain scalable and secure data architectures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data platforms with other systems
  • Optimize data processing and analytics workflows for improved performance and efficiency
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering and architecture
  • Expert skills in Python or Java programming languages
  • Experience with Apache Spark and cloud-based technologies (AWS or GCP)
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with data lakes, lakehouses, and warehouses (e.g. DeltaLake, Redshift)
  • DevOps skills, including Terraform and CI/CD experience
  • Previous experience in agile environments
  • Experience with expert systems and machine learning
