Process Design and Optimization
- Develops, configures, and optimizes production processes from inception through to start-up and certification, ensuring alignment with company objectives and industry best practices.
- Conducts research and development of new equipment and technologies to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Drafts technical project objectives by developing maintenance of CAPEX or improvement project proposals and plans, taking into account operational requirements and performance standards.
- Determines project specifications in line with operations requirements, and performance standards, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Completes technical studies and prepares cost estimates, considering all aspects of the project, including safety, health, and food safety.
- Evaluates and validates design alternatives to create optimum designs, ensuring alignment with company standards and industry best practices.
- Certifies the technical accuracy of designs and financial business case associated, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
Process Management and Troubleshooting
- Monitors and oversees all production processes, supporting the day-to-day optimization of production lines and processes, and ensuring compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
- Assists production staff in troubleshooting in the event of problems, and performs root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues.
- Suggests solutions to prevent malfunctions from recurring, and monitors the performance of equipment, including regular testing and maintenance tasks.
Projects and Continuous Improvement
- Participates as a team member in CAPEX assignments, or leads project teams in CAPEX projects, ensuring successful completion of project phases within budgeted time and cost constraints.
- Ensures the successful installation and start-up of new process equipment, and provides process documentation and operating instructions.
- Continuously evaluates equipment and processes to ensure both efficiency and quality remain high, and identifies and implements improvements to production systems, processes, and practices.
Technical Leadership and Compliance
- Stays abreast of the latest developments in process management, and acts as a technical consultant on production processes, providing guidance and support to production staff.
- Contributes to the development of company technical standards, and ensures compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Assures that all process documentation shows and ensures compliance with both internal and external regulations, and performs risk assessments of equipment and processes being used.
