Position Overview
This role is for a Product Manager specializing in E-mobility Charging Inlet. This is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing both product and market strategies on a regional and global scale within the Power and Signal team. The Product Manager will handle all facets of a product line, from spearheading new product development to manufacturing, pricing, and marketing. The emphasis will be on optimization, proliferation, and innovation in alignment with customer needs. Additionally, this role will involve global coordination with the S&P team regarding product, operations, market, and customer strategies. The individual will be accountable for the overarching product strategy, business leadership, and capacity planning to achieve sales and gross margin objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Analysis & Strategy Formulation
• Investigate market dynamics, demand influences, customer requirements, industry developments, and competitive landscape
• Conduct competitive assessments and benchmarking
• Provide resources to support the go-to-market strategy, including channel strategies and partnerships
• Collaborate with R&D and operations to develop new products that meet current and future customer needs.
• Oversee the product lifecycle by delivering product trend evaluations
Business Planning and Data Insights
• Work collaboratively across functions to meet sales, technology, and operational objectives in line with financial targets.
• Perform regular data analysis to comprehend trends, customer segments, and regional dynamics.
• Develop market strategy PBP (Product Business Plan)
• Implement pricing strategies in alignment with the Senior Manager of Product Management
• Assist in formulating the annual operating plan (Sales and gross margin)
Execution - New Product Development, Launch, and Post-Launch
• Prepare financial assessments to support new product launches
• Manage discussions with management regarding G1 and G2 opportunities
• Provide product information and samples to customers and the sales team to support new product introductions
• Create RTS requests for new product development initiatives
• Collect product specifications and attributes for the creation of marketing materials, including e-catalogs
• Supply product demand forecasts for the S&OP process
• Conduct pricing evaluations in preparation for catalog price adjustments or in response to special pricing inquiries
• Develop sales forecasts for the S&OP plan
• Collaborate closely with customers, the sales team, customer service, and field application engineering on product development
• Work in tandem with finance on product cost and gross margin evaluations to identify cost drivers and enhance margins
• Analyze excess and obsolete inventory
• Assist in resolving product-related issues
Global Product Strategy Alignment
• Engage in and manage global strategic initiatives
• Drive portfolio decisions based on global strategies to enhance efficiency and increase margins
• Optimize the global portfolio, including localization efforts, transfers, and product pruning based on customer requirements
• Focus on the proliferation of the existing portfolio through sales and customer reviews with an increased emphasis on distribution
• Facilitate global innovation discussions with engineering, FAE, and sales based on emerging market needs and customer demands
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics or Mechanics Proven experience in Product Management or Product Strategy Relevant product or industry experience, particularly in Low-Voltage Terminals and Connectors. Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of commercial processes Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset Strategic thinker with the capability to execute on priorities Excellent relationship-building and communication skills Ability to meet deadlines and manage tight targetsCore Competencies
