About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Architect to join our team at Roche Diagnostics. As a key member of our software development team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing complex software systems that will revolutionize the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
  • Lead architecture and design discussions to ensure the most effective technical solution is implemented.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of hands-on industry experience as a software engineer.
  • Proven track record of leading architecture and design discussions.
  • Experience providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles and practices.
  • Ability to influence within and outside the team.
Technical Requirements
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
  • 2+ years hands-on experience with AWS.
  • Full-stack experience, with expertise in backend software that is deployed in the Edge.
  • Hands-on software development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and testing frameworks.
  • Secure infrastructure as code provisioning experience or strong knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on software development experience in Go, Rust, or C.
  • Hands-on software development experience in JavaScript with a modern component-based framework.
