About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at the Navy Exchange. As a Sales Associate, you will be the face of our company, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and promoting our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Proactively engage with customers, ask questions, and listen to their needs to provide personalized solutions.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of our products and services to effectively communicate their value to customers.
  • Sales and Merchandising: Cross-sell products, maintain store appearance, and suggest latest trends and promotions to customers.
  • Inventory Management: Accurately check in and ticket merchandise, and participate in periodic inventories.
  • Dependability: Adhere to assigned work schedule, complete work assignments accurately, and take initiative independent of direct supervision.
Requirements
  • Product Knowledge: Basic knowledge of products and merchandise.
  • Experience: Retail experience preferred but not required.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to multi-task, work as part of a team, and take initiative independent of direct supervision.
Working Conditions

This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two consecutive hours. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Involves lifting at least 25 lbs. and up to 50lbs in some departments. Work typically performed indoors but may be assigned outdoors depending upon location.
