Job Title: Senior Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technician to join our Research Group Neural Circuits and Behavior at the Hospital Nacional de Parapléjicos. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting sensory behavioral techniques, electrophysiological and calcium imaging recordings, and providing technical support to the research team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct sensory behavioral techniques in rodents, including tactile and thermal experiments.
  • Perform electrophysiological and calcium imaging recordings ex vivo or in vivo.
  • Provide technical support to the research team, including maintenance of laboratory equipment and preparation of experimental materials.
  • Collaborate with researchers to design and implement experiments, and analyze data.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Zoology, Physiology, or Neurosciences (MECES LEVEL 3).
  • Experience in sensory behavioral techniques, electrophysiological and calcium imaging recordings.
  • Knowledge of basic neuroscience principles and statistics (SPSS, Graphpad, Origin).
  • Excellent Spanish language skills.
Selection Process:

The selection process will consist of two phases: evaluation of merits and personal interview. Candidates who have obtained at least 4 points in the first phase will be called for a personal interview with the Selection Board.
