About the Role

The SAP IBP Application Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our SAP IBP system across the EMEA region. This position is responsible for overseeing support across multiple sites, ensuring consistent improvements of existing target systems, and implementing new functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SAP IBP Template Maintenance and Evolution: Ensure the maintenance and evolution of SAP IBP templates to meet the changing needs of the business.
  • Support and Troubleshooting: Provide level 3 support for corrections to issues raised by the helpdesk or demand managers.
  • Planning and Forecasting: Schedule and monitor periodic jobs in the planning and forecasting cycle to ensure accurate and timely results.
  • Quarterly Upgrades: Manage SAP IBP quarterly upgrades to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Feature Evaluation: Evaluate new features of SAP IBP tools to advise business operations on the best course of action.
  • Solution Implementation: Ensure solutions are implemented on time and within budget, meeting the needs of the business.
  • Documentation and Training: Contribute to the development of process maps and roll-out kits, and conduct key user training to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Issue Resolution: Process key-user requests or issues following the internal governance process, and create transport requests in development to ensure timely resolution.
  • Information Sharing: Animate information sharing across sites to leverage SAP IBP usage and ensure a consistent understanding of the system.
  • Project Methodology: Ensure project methodology is understood and applied across the team, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the roll-out kit.

Major Challenges:

  • Complexities: Introduce standardized work, developing and deploying standard processes, KPIs, and governance to ensure consistency across the organization.
  • Navigating Complexity: Navigate a complex business environment with regular changes to the scope, and manage a distributed team with diverse skill sets and customer cultures.
  • Multi-Tasking: Multi-task and set priorities across the business unit to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • SAP IBP Experience: SAP IBP Demand Planning and SOP module experience, including CPI-DS and APO, is essential for this role.
  • SAP IBP PLM Module: Familiarity with the SAP IBP PLM module is advantageous.
  • SAP PP and MM Modules: Experience in SAP PP and MM modules is also required.
  • Implementation Experience: Active participation in multiple SAP IBP implementations across industries is highly valued.
