Job Description

At Verisk, we're committed to helping our clients overcome the toughest challenges in the insurance industry. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our software solutions.

Role Purpose

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you'll be responsible for testing our software to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality and functionality. You'll work under limited supervision and collaborate with junior QA Analysts to drive the testing process forward.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform manual testing in complex areas of the application, identifying defects and providing accurate estimates for testing efforts.
  • Design and implement moderately complex test cases, leveraging your analytical skills to identify potential issues.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to identify defects and provide feedback to the development team.
  • Review test cases executed by junior testers and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Collaborate with analysts to gain a deeper understanding of business processes and requirements.
Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Demonstrable experience in quality assurance or a related field.
  • An analytical mind and problem-solving skills to tackle complex business scenarios.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to express complex issues in a concise and precise manner.
  • Knowledge of SQL scripting, SQL server, and data modeling.
  • Creativity and adaptability in dealing with new and unexpected situations.
