Position Overview
ISGlobal is in search of a motivated environmental exposure analyst with a focus on climate science and epidemiology. The successful candidate will oversee project activities related to water quality and climate interactions. The primary goal is to evaluate the relationship between drinking water quality and climate factors, including extreme weather conditions.
Project Insights
The project, intoDBP, is a collaborative initiative under Horizon Europe, involving multiple partners across various countries. Its mission is to develop innovative strategies for enhancing water quality management to ensure safe human consumption and environmental health. ISGlobal leads Work Package 6 – EXPOSURE, which aims to deepen the understanding of human exposure to disinfection by-products in European communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in diverse research tasks, including data analysis and collaboration with team members.
- Draft reports and manuscripts, and actively participate in project meetings and scientific seminars.
- Present research findings at conferences and contribute to group discussions.
Specific Duties
- Conduct literature reviews to assess current knowledge regarding the impact of climate variables on disinfection by-product concentrations in drinking water.
- Gather and analyze long-term data on drinking water quality and climate variables from designated study areas.
- Perform statistical analyses to identify temporal patterns in water quality and climate data.
- Evaluate the correlations between disinfection by-product levels and climate factors, including extreme weather events.

Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
