Senior Back-End Developer with Data Processing Expertise

ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a skilled Back-End Developer to join our agile DevOps team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications, focusing on stability and continuity for larger user groups in a chemical research and development environment.
You will design and implement intuitive solutions that enable users to manage and analyze large data sets effectively. This includes designing RESTful APIs, implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms, optimizing database queries, and ensuring application security.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure seamless integration of new technologies. You will balance the development of new applications with the maintenance and operations of existing solutions.
As a key contributor to our team's technology stack, you will drive innovation and future development, ensuring alignment with user requirements and modern coding, security, and tool standards.
You will optimize and streamline data processing workflows to handle and analyze large data sets efficiently.
QualificationsA degree or comparable education in computer, information, or natural science is required, along with more than 3 years of professional experience in an IT environment.
Proficiency in Python3 and frameworks like FastAPI, experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Neo4J, and microservices and cloud-native application development are essential.
Expertise in processing and analyzing large data sets, including experience with data processing libraries such as Pandas and data analysis tools, is also required.
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, CI/CD automation, and platforms such as Azure DevOps or GitlabCI is a plus.
Familiarity with additional tools and technologies such as PyBrain, Design Patterns, MS Azure, and Python packaging is also beneficial.
