Position: Market Development Engineer IPE
Job Summary: Arrow Electronics is seeking a highly skilled Market Development Engineer to join our team. As a Market Development Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing successful solution programs that accelerate market, sales, and profit growth within the associated markets or business segments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specialize in key market segments and technologies of the business, as assigned within the dedicated Vertical.
- Own the go-to-market strategy plan for the assigned market/business segment.
- Conduct business strategy activities to include total available market, market share, segmentation, competitive analysis, emerging trends, SWOT, and product positioning.
- Collaborate with the BU on product road mapping, new product development, and product management activities to support the assigned market.
- Work with supplier, product management, and other product and engineering resources to clarify product and service needs, requirements, and priorities.
- Create, gain approvals for, and execute (upon approval) comprehensive products and service offers.
- Contribute to the development of communication programs and materials for use in business development.
- Evaluate, recommend, and manage supplier and channel programs within the assigned market.
- Contribute to the development of marketing campaigns, tools, and training programs aimed to drive increased market share and visibility for internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead market or segment-based Voice of Customer activities to capture product reception and validate new marketing opportunities.
- Build and manage influential relationships with key suppliers.
- Make joint calls with ARROW and supplier's Sales personnel where it is strategically and tactically appropriate on a regular basis.
- Be involved with supplier web training for new products, new product releases, and supplier promotions, and identify market/customer penetration strategies with the appropriate products.
Requirements:
- Experience in electronics industry or manufacturing in similar positions in Sales, Engineering, Marketing or Product management - must have.
- Experience in IPE - must have.
- Experience in engineering and business strategy – market customer segmentation; competitive product benchmarking, financial analysis (ROI, pricing, scenario analysis) - must have.
- Strong sales skills.
- Full driving license and readiness for business travel - must have.
- English language skills - fluently in writing and spoken.
- Spanish language skills (native or C1).
- Expertise in engaging with executive-level stakeholders.
- Track record in delivering results in market/segment management or development of comprehensive solutions offers in business-to-business industry.
- Understanding of performance measurement tools and technology.
- Demonstration of project/team leadership and collaboration skills.
