Position Overview: As a pivotal member of the Flat Europe organization at ArcelorMittal Spain, reporting directly to the CFO, this role is designed to enhance the financial and control framework necessary for achieving strategic business goals. The Financial Controller will serve as a key business partner, fostering initiatives that drive value across various functions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and oversee the tracking of essential financial KPIs.
  • Coordinate the business cycle processes, including flash reports, actuals, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Engage with stakeholders to critically assess results and provide business partnership support.
  • Deliver qualitative managerial insights to aid in informed decision-making.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality reporting outputs.
  • Conduct ad hoc studies, analyses, and simulations as required.
  • Supervise the company's internal control and SOx compliance initiatives in collaboration with the Segment head of SOx.
  • Lead the Account Risk assessment process in conjunction with business units and the CFO.
  • Oversee the Application Risk assessment in partnership with the IT department.
  • Manage the Risk Control Matrix in coordination with both business and IT teams.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors for internal control and SOx audit processes.
  • Establish and maintain a robust internal controls framework aligned with compliance standards.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in internal control.
  • Guarantee the prompt resolution of any SOx deficiencies.

Professional Qualifications:

  • A degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or Management is required.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience is essential, with a preference for candidates with Big 4 experience.
  • Ideal candidates will possess a blend of experience in:
    • Management and expertise in economic and financial operations across diverse companies, particularly in the industrial sector.
    • Financial consulting, internal control, and SOx auditing within large publicly traded corporations adhering to SOx and PCAOB compliance standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of both national and international accounting regulations.
  • Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards and Internal Control (SoX) regulations.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory.
  • Competence in utilizing management software tools (e.g., SAP, Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint) with a focus on enhancing data productivity through automation and digitalization.
  • Experience working within an ArcelorMittal Unit or Segment is advantageous.
