Quant Data Scientist

ENGIE is a global leader in low-carbon energy and services, committed to accelerating the transition to a carbon-neutral economy. We're seeking a talented Quant Data Scientist to join our GEMS Iberia team in Madrid.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support business development with valuation of new products
  • Collaborate with commercial teams on pricing tools
  • Represent risk factors and hedging strategies for portfolio managers
  • Optimize physical assets under constraints
  • Pricing exotic derivatives in imperfect markets
  • Develop decision support tools with adequate documentation and version control
  • Support short-term and trading teams in gas and power price modeling
  • Establish a network of collaboration with other quant and data scientist teams
Requirements
  • Relevant studies (min. MSc): Financial mathematics, Operations research, Computer science, Statistics, and Mathematics
  • Deep learning and advanced analytics
  • Strong mathematics education or professional experience
  • Relevant experience in energy markets or commodities
  • Post-doc in energy markets or relevant experience
  • Supported trading teams in the past
  • Basic market analysis
  • Good presentation skills
  • Critical thinking
  • Good coding skills: Python, R, Julia
