At Amazon Spain Services, S.L.U., we are dedicated to being the most customer-focused organization globally. We are currently looking for a Global Reliability Engineering Project Leader to join our esteemed Central Reliability Maintenance Engineering team.

This position requires extensive knowledge in project oversight, exceptional technical skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality project outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in Engineering Program and Project Management, coupled with a robust technical problem-solving aptitude. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete project lifecycle for new launches and equipment installations, including requirements gathering, planning, risk management, and successful execution.
  • Take full ownership of large-scale engineering initiatives, encompassing planning, design, installation, commissioning, and launch support.
  • Evaluate and communicate project progress, proactively addressing potential risks and delays across various teams.
  • Work collaboratively with Field Engineering, Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME), Design & Construction, and operational teams to establish project scope, objectives, and success metrics.
  • Create comprehensive project plans, timelines, and milestones, ensuring effective communication and coordination among all stakeholders.
  • Develop Business Continuity and Risk Mitigation strategies in collaboration with site RME teams for a smooth transition from Construction or Field Engineering.
  • Facilitate the expansion and implementation of the RME qualification process, including vendor management and feedback.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in close partnership with Design, Engineering, RME, Procurement, and Safety teams.

About the Team
The ELM team is responsible for the transfer of assets (MHE, Base Build, Emerging Tech) to the RME teams, collaborating closely with Project Delivery Teams across various sectors. Our mission is to provide a seamless and efficient building experience from the RME perspective, starting from project initiation.

We aim to minimize downtime, enhance equipment availability, and ensure RME technician readiness. The team also focuses on achieving optimal maintenance accessibility, ensuring initial spare parts are available at the right cost, and coordinating external maintenance services to align people, processes, and resources for an ideal building experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in Engineering project management with a successful track record of delivering complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, able to navigate ambiguity and make data-driven decisions independently.
  • Demonstrated expert communication skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in managing projects across multiple countries.
  • Familiarity with analytical techniques and proficiency in data manipulation using Excel across various data sources.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA, advanced degrees, and/or Black Belt certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficiency in additional EU languages is a plus.
