Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Computing Solutions Architect to join our team at Amazon. As a Cloud Computing Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering on a strategy to build mind share and broad usage of AWS's services within public sector organizations and the larger ecosystem that supports them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Owning the technical engagement and removing technical blockers
- Defining implementation and transition architectures
- Responding to RFIs and RFPs
- Achieving ultimate success around specific technical projects
Requirements:
- Highly technical and analytical with significant experience in software development and/or IT and networking implementation as well as security and compliance
- Advisory/consulting experience, including some experience with government and/or education customers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Italian and English fluency
- Strong knowledge of application architecture, software development, server, networking, and security
- Technical degrees in computer science, software engineering, math, or similar degrees
- Understanding of government certifications and compliance
- Experience working within the software development or Internet industries
Preferred Qualifications:
- Executive speaking and presentation skills
- Working knowledge of modern software development practices and technologies such as agile methodologies and DevOps
