Packaging Operations and Artwork Management
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Global Packaging Graphics Design Specialist to join our team at Bayer. As a key member of our packaging operations team, you will be responsible for driving and coordinating the creation, approval, and finalization of artworks through defined processes, ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while maintaining excellent performance KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a single point of contact for specific sites and associated markets, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Liaise between cross-functional teams, design artwork agencies, and production sites to manage projects assigned for artwork management.
- Steer the graphic design process by offering recommendations on technical aspects for final printing for various brands and markets.
- Oversee and coordinate the creation of ready-to-print artwork in compliance with approved Change Control documentation and packaging specifications.
- Ensure printability and execution of final printed packaging by managing pre-press procedures, including technical review and approval of printing proofs or attendance at initial press runs.
- Align and implement sustainability objectives with respect to artwork management.
- Continuously report and monitor key KPIs for allocated sites.
- Identify and highlight process improvements and assist in updating graphics process-specific SOPs and procedures.
- Effectively manage international communication with internal and external business partners.
- Drive artwork operations through digital implementation, leveraging Artwork Management systems, PLM Systems, Analytics, and RPA.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in design, graphic communications, or print technologies, or comparable experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in artwork management of OTC/Pharmaceutical products, packaging design, or print production.
- Must be a team player with project management and organizational skills, a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude, consistent attention to detail, and good judgment.
- Comprehensive understanding of artwork workflow and processes.
- Understanding of various artwork/graphic creation methodologies.
- Understanding of printing technology and processes.
- Good interpersonal skills and high degree of customer focus.
- Proactive approach, with good planning, communication, and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English; German, French, or Spanish are an asset.
