Job Title: Health and Safety Manager

At Edp Energias De Portugal, we are committed to furthering social advances in terms of sustainability and integration. We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team in Germany.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and controlling the implementation of our Health and Safety policies across all areas of the company. This includes spreading the Health and Safety culture within the company and among contractors, ensuring regulatory and ISO 45001 compliance, and implementing our Management System.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess regulatory compliance of sites/offices and propose action plans
  • Perform risk assessments of employees
  • Investigate incidents and develop preventive actions plans
  • Perform H&S inspections in O&M and E&C sites
  • Implement and participate in the update of tools and applications supporting H&S activities
  • Follow up contractors' H&S performance
  • Ensure contractor documentation process (E-Gestiona)
  • Provide technical support to other departments in project phases (Development, Construction, and Operation)
  • Support HR teams for Health and Safety trainings
  • Ensure implementation of EDPR Management System (ISO 45001) and propose improvements
  • Participate in H&S governance (Management review, HSE commissions, Corporate H&S monthly meetings)
  • Coordinate with H&S supervisors in construction sites
Requirements
  • Academic level: Occupational Health and Safety Officer or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Knowledge about PV plants is a must; knowledge about wind farms is a plus
  • Risks: electricity and working at heights; German legislation; ISO 45001 and H&S Management Systems; construction sites
  • International experiences are a plus
  • High German level and fluent English are a must
