About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Nielseniq. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our data pipelines, ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and scalability of our data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data pipelines from scratch, leveraging expertise in data engineering techniques, data architecture, and data governance.
  • Develop and maintain data transformation workflows, ensuring data integrity and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions, fostering a common approach to data engineering.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying innovative solutions to drive business growth.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in data engineering, with a strong background in data architecture, data governance, and data transformation.
  • Expertise in programming languages, such as Python, and experience with data storage solutions, like Apache Spark.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including AWS, and experience with data pipeline tools, like Apache Airflow.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data schemas, and data evolution, with experience in designing and implementing data pipelines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
