Scopely is seeking a highly skilled Liveops Technical Art Lead to join our team in Seville. As a key member of our Monopoly GO team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Technical Artists to produce high-quality content and advance the team's capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Technical Artists to produce high-quality content and advance the team's capabilities
- Manage content aspirations for the team and improve production and organization structures
- Identify and select tools and technologies to enhance the content creation process
- Collaborate with other technical and aesthetic experts to define clear goals for the toolset, pipeline, and construction processes
- Participate in setting strategic vision for content and work with other content producers to ensure proper game performance and optimizations
- Identify and execute on the most difficult content creation problems for the project
- Research future solutions or cutting-edge content technologies
- Review pipelines and content creation processes to identify best practices
Requirements:
- 6 or more years of experience in large game studios
- 2 or more years of team management experience
- Minimum 2-year 2D/3D art degree, architecture degree, or equivalent with excellent critique and vocabulary skills
- Strong technical proficiency in understanding proprietary tools and technology
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with modern 3D software packages (Maya, Substance, zBrush)
- Strong understanding of the game development process
- Strong understanding of methods of optimizing game art assets for game engines and optimizing pipelines and processes
- Strong understanding of C# / Scripting Languages or similar systems
- A strong understanding of modern 3D engines and the technology behind them
- Solid experience and understanding of art/animation pipelines on modern game consoles
- Up-to-date knowledge of current art techniques and development processes
- Ability to work well under pressure and with deadlines
- Diligence with individual and team tasks, schedule, and adherence to budget limitations
- Strong interest in computer or video games
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Positive attitude and a desire to bring new ideas to the team
