What You Can Expect
In our Product Team Business Intelligence Finance & Procurement, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting complex software and application components in the Business Intelligence environment of BASF Group. You will develop and consult on BI applications tailored to the needs of our business units, finding technical solutions for complex requirements and deploying them in the systems. Additionally, you will collaborate with our external provider to cover operational aspects and resolve complex issues.
Responsibilities
Your focus will depend on your skills and interests, but may include:
- Consulting on technical questions related to business applications for reporting, creating specifications based on technical requirements for projects and change requests in collaboration with other consultants and business units.
- Developing software independently, as well as managing developments in cooperation with internal colleagues or external service providers.
- Regularly performing maintenance tasks, quality assurance measures, and test activities, as well as supporting the development of support concepts.
- Ensuring the smooth operation of applications.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in business informatics, business administration with a focus on IT, or computer science with a focus on business administration, or a comparable completed vocational training with more than 3 years of IT experience in various functions.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in IT-related topics.
- Basic business intelligence skills by education or practical experience of at least 1 year.
- A strong analytical mindset, good communication skills, and a customer-oriented approach.
- A growth and diverse mindset, with a curiosity to learn and improve.
- The ability to act in the interests of the company and communicate clearly and authentically in English (spoken and written).
Nice to Have
In addition to a strong technical inclination, you may also have a strong interest in understanding the business background and creating sustainable BI applications together with internal business partners.
