Experienced Paralegal

At Fqps, we are seeking an experienced paralegal to join our Casualty Injury Team. This role involves working with a partner and team manager to assist on complex high-value claims, predominantly over £250k. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to run their own caseload of cases valued up to £100k.

• Assist with the running of complex claims to ensure deadlines are met and cases are managed proactively to conclusion.
• Effectively manage a modest caseload, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Ensure work meets client needs, commercial requirements, and quality standards, including adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and protocols.
• Achieve agreed financial targets and ensure prompt billing and collection of WIP and disbursements.
• Support a clear case strategy and manage risk and compliance issues.
• Engage with clients to maximize opportunities and build rapport.
• Contribute to Business Development and client relationship activities.
• Maintain and develop technical knowledge through training and relevant publications.

• 0-5 years' experience in a similar role.
• Experience in Multi Track or Fast Track Claims.
• EL/PL Experience.
• High level of personal compliance with firm protocols and procedures.
• Good legal knowledge relevant to the area of expertise.
• Strong organizational skills, able to work to deadlines and prioritize workload.
• Commercial perspective on legal issues with high standard written and oral communication skills.
• Confident negotiator.
• Ability to produce high-quality work with attention to detail.
• Team-oriented with a willingness to share knowledge and support colleagues.
