About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Mygwork, an inclusive employer and a member of the largest global platform for the LGBTQ+ business community, as a Procurement Specialist in our Site Operations Center. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our Fulfillment Centers receive the necessary shipping supplies to operate smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute the daily forecast and effective materials management of all non-inventory packaging supplies.
- Execute purchase order creation based on the planned forecast and internal requests.
- Liaise with suppliers to secure prompt deliveries for the full range of shipping supplies items.
- Develop relationships with primary internal customers, external suppliers, and other Amazon Teams (Operations and Corporate).
- Work in full compliance with the company Spending and Transaction Policy.
- Plan the truck deliveries in full while placing replenishment orders.
- Communicate the accurate delivery schedule to the local FC Stores teams.
- Support change initiatives and continuous improvement projects aimed at improving the efficiency of shipping supplies processes.
- Proactively flag delivery issues with the Regional SPOC Manager as well as the EU Procurement Team for visibility.
- Provide support to other SPOC Buyers as and when required.
- Interact with the FC Stores Coordinators on a daily basis to get a sense of activities on the shop floor.
- Provide training to new SPOC Buyers.
- Deliver Procurement metrics in line with set targets.
Requirements:
- Previous purchasing experience in Procurement.
- Basic knowledge of ERP and/or MRP systems (such as Oracle, SAP, COUPA, etc).
- Computer literate - knowledge of software programs (i.e. MS Excel, Outlook, and Word).
- B2 - C1 English level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven ability to build constructive and effective supplier relationships.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) at all levels.
- Analytical, data-driven approach with attention to detail.
- Strong experience in the following Procurement domains: Materials Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Operations, and/or Shipping Supplies.
- Experience in supplier/vendor relationship management.
- Experience as a Non-Inventory Receiver or Stores Coordinator.
- Any additional sourcing and/or purchasing competencies would be advantageous.
