About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior iOS Software Engineer to join our team at F. Hoffmann-La Roche Gruppe. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality iOS applications that meet the needs of our users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop native iOS applications using Swift and Objective-C
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, QA, and product owners, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of high-quality software
  • Contribute to architectural and technical decision-making, ensuring high-quality code reviews and adherence to best practices
  • Act as an internal technical consultant for pre-sales, sales, and marketing activities, including hiring decisions
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the diabetes industry and its related technologies
Requirements
  • At least 5+ years of experience building native iOS applications
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to give and receive feedback
  • Experience working iteratively and maintaining live products
  • Experience mentoring other engineers in Swift and Objective-C
  • Strong understanding of accessibility, performance, and systemic solutions
  • Proven track record of building reliable, performant, scalable, and understandable solutions
  • Experience writing tests to ensure delivery of high-quality software
  • EU citizen or valid Spanish work permit
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the diabetes industry or other comparable health industries
  • Experience working in an energetic startup environment
  • Background in Computer Science
  • Familiarity with ReSwift, Functional Reactive Programming, or App Extensions
