Overview

We are seeking dedicated individuals committed to enhancing global health outcomes.

The role of the Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) is tailored to address the requirements of scientific authorities through a cadre of medical professionals possessing extensive expertise in specific medical conditions, existing therapies, and investigational agents (both from Lilly and competitors). MSLs play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between the pharmaceutical industry and the scientific community by delivering pertinent information and fostering scientific dialogue, ultimately contributing to improved patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and articulate profound scientific knowledge.
  • Engage effectively with clients, addressing their medical and scientific information needs while providing comprehensive disease state and product insights.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to explore potential research initiatives or partnerships.
  • Analyze complex data and convey significant clinical insights alongside addressing unresolved inquiries from clients.
  • Build internal networks and work collaboratively across various functions, actively contributing to medical strategy and planning.
  • Execute responsibilities in a compliant manner, adhering to all relevant internal and external guidelines.
  • Develop and implement a strategic territory plan aligned with Lilly's objectives, utilizing a thorough understanding of client needs and preferences.
  • Optimize customer engagement by prioritizing face-to-face interactions and aligning with client expectations, while integrating Lilly's strategic vision into future initiatives.
  • Deliver effective solutions to intricate challenges through systematic root cause analysis.

Qualifications

A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in health sciences is required, with a PhD in Diabetes and/or Obesity preferred.

A minimum of one year of experience in medical affairs or as an MSL is essential.

Essential Skills

Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are crucial.

Proficiency in English (C1/Advanced) is required.

Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time is necessary.

Desirable Experience & Skills

Experience or knowledge in Diabetes and/or Obesity is highly valued.

Self-motivated individuals capable of processing substantial scientific information and conveying it clearly are preferred.

Demonstrated ability to build professional relationships and networks is essential.

Proven success in managing priorities and handling multiple projects simultaneously is important.

Ability to collaborate effectively and share information within a team environment is required.
