Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Sin Nombre. As an HV Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our EPC Team during the pre-construction and construction stage in all technical matters related to Grid Connection Facilities design, procurement of main equipment, and contracting of EPC services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and improve internal specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide technical support to our Development Department, including developing and improving internal specifications, providing technical support, and preparing technical documentation for tenders and contracts.
- Evaluate technical proposals and keep all project documentation well-structured and classified.
- Carry out basic designs and calculations to evaluate alternatives and optimize solutions.
- Coordinate the design review process with external parties, including EPC Contractors and Owner's Engineers.
- Control the progress of the engineering process and support discussions with TSO/DSO and other stakeholders.
About Us
Sin Nombre develops, builds, and operates solar projects in the Iberia region, either with full ownership or with partners in JVs. This position is located in the Madrid office (Spain).
Requirements:
- Electrical engineering background is a must.
- From 3 to 8 years of professional experience in HV engineering firms or EPC contractors.
- Experience working in electrical design of substations > 132 kV in the Iberian region is a must.
- OHL and UGL executive design knowledge is required.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and knowledge in ETAP simulation tool is a plus.
- Experience in substation equipment test and commissioning is preferred.
- Additional training in Solar PV (Design and technology) and other renewable technologies is a plus.
- Fluent in Spanish and English and high analytical and communication skills are required.
- Self-motivated, with strong initiative and creative thinking and ability to work individually and as a team.
