About the Role

Zurich 56 Company Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Application Developer to join our Global Finance Applications team in Spain. As an Application Developer, you will play a critical role in the development and support of our globally used Tax solution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the current solution for Income Tax calculation, leveraging Cloud Technologies, Web-Application, and Platform Support.
  • Collaborate with Business, IT Support, and Project teams to understand business needs and translate them into functional requirements and solutions.
  • Develop and deploy changes, manage releases, and own the installation of Release Upgrades.
  • Manage and resolve Incidents, ensuring the systems are running smoothly and effectively.
  • Continuously improve and document the solution.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of total IT experience, preferably serving Finance departments.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in advanced-IT or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a similar role supporting web-based applications, Release Management, and with Code Repositories such as Bitbucket.
  • General IT knowledge in solution design, developing, and database technologies.
  • Experience with Cloud Technologies (Azure & AWS), Web-applications, and related programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python,.Net).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a reliable, independent, and diligent manner.
