We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bioinformatics Specialist to join our team at the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG). As a key member of our Epitranscriptomics and RNA Dynamics group, you will play a crucial role in studying the role of RNA modifications using nanopore sequencing technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the bioinformatics work related to the project, including the development of novel algorithms to analyze RNA modifications, quantify them, and study their differential RNA modification patterns.
- Provide general bioinformatics support to the team, including data analysis, algorithm development, and machine learning.
- Collaborate with the research team to design and implement experiments to study RNA modifications.
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Computational Biology, or a related field.
- Experience with the analysis of nanopore sequencing data.
- Expertise in the use of HPC clusters.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Java.
- Background in RNA biology.
- Experience in the analysis of Illumina sequencing data.
- Experience with NextFlow, Docker, or other container systems.
- CUDA and GPU programming.
As a Senior Bioinformatics Specialist at the CRG, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of researchers and scientists, and contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of genomics and epitranscriptomics.
