We are seeking a highly experienced HSE Director to lead our occupational risk prevention efforts in a newly structured role. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining and reviewing the vision, policies, and objectives of occupational risk prevention.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Support: Provide active leadership and support for safety and health initiatives at the site and mine, promoting a culture of risk awareness and risk management.
- Management Systems: Lead continuous improvement in management systems, ensuring compliance with Health Safety and Security (HSS) regulations and standards.
- Goal Achievement: Develop and implement processes to achieve goals and meet business commitments, while preventing events and promoting proactive learning processes.
- Reporting and Communication: Maintain management routines, monitoring and controlling goals and indices, work plans, and corrective actions, producing weekly and monthly reports.
- Global OEMS and HOP Methodology: Lead and implement the global OEMS and HOP methodology on the site, ensuring effective implementation and monitoring.
- HSS Tools and Processes: Lead and implement global HSS tools, including Enablon and GOARC, ERM risk management processes, and operational risk management - PSM.
- Culture of Risk Awareness: Ensure a culture of risk awareness and risk management processes, including JSA for roles and tasks, and implementation of controls.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead to continuous improvement of the ISO45001 management system and other relevant standards.
- Global Work Teams: Take an active part in global work teams, the European Safety Forum, and professional steering committees.
We are looking for an experienced professional with a relevant degree in health and safety or a related field, and proven experience in leading and implementing new initiatives in the health and safety function. The ideal candidate will have:
- Certificates in accordance with Spanish law.
- Strong organizational and leadership/management skills.
- Experience in managing HSS Process Safety Management and Risk management Programs.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Experience in mines.
We offer a competitive salary range of 75k to 95k EUR gross per year, and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a challenging and rewarding role.
