Transforming Zurich Insurance into a Data-Driven Organization

Zurich Insurance is seeking a visionary leader to spearhead the development of a truly data-driven company culture. As the Group Head of Enterprise Data Architecture, you will be responsible for defining and executing Zurich's data strategy and architecture, building a sustainable data foundation, and driving the identification and prioritization of data use cases aligned with business value.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of a data-driven company culture, fostering collaboration across departments to maximize the value of data assets.
  • Establish data governance and harmonization centered around Zurich's process areas, ensuring data quality and consistency.
  • Work closely with business leaders, IT teams, and stakeholders to understand data needs and requirements, providing internal consulting and transformation advice to drive analytical capabilities.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data architecture strategy aligned with business goals, leveraging existing ecosystems and identifying gaps in processes.
  • Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing data architecture team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise AI architect to develop the organization's views and opportunities surrounding artificial intelligence and large language models.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a similar role with a major multinational firm, preferably in the insurance/financial services industry.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with excellent business acumen and ability to develop and execute a comprehensive data architecture strategy.
  • Visionary thinking to anticipate future data needs and technological trends, with a solid understanding of data modeling, database design, and cloud data lake/warehousing principles.
  • Experience in designing scalable and high-performance data solutions, with a proven ability to coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong and effective communication skills, with experience in presenting complex topics to C-level stakeholders.
