Job Title: Engineering Excellence Executive Manager

The Engineering Excellence Executive Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the Engineering Excellence initiative at AXA. This involves defining and maintaining the AXA Engineering Standards, ensuring they are aligned with global and local software engineering communities, CIOs, CTOs, and OpCo engineering representatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and governance of AXA Engineering Standards, in collaboration with the global and local software engineering communities.
  • Drive the implementation of Engineering Excellence by leading technological orientation, declination on technical recruitments, and staffing software engineers on products and platforms.
  • Align stakeholders to define and validate Engineering Standards, ensuring they are up-to-date and aligned with market trends.
  • Evaluate software engineering maturity levels and define future visions.
  • Support development teams in adopting defined guidelines and standards, raising their maturity on weaker points.
  • Direct supervision of software engineers, including performance management, career development, education, and training.
  • Keep teams focused on priorities, communicate project progress, and identify knowledge gaps for software engineers.
  • Ensure new software development activities align with defined guidelines and challenge activities not aligned.
  • Lead the AXA Open Source Program definition and governance, identifying projects to inner/open source and supporting development teams.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in software engineering governance and standards development.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of software engineering practices.
