About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Security Engineer to join our Product Security Engineering team at Google Cloud. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our products and services.
Responsibilities
- Identify and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities in our software and systems.
- Design and implement secure protocols and systems to protect our infrastructure and data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security best practices and standards.
- Perform security reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain security tools and technologies to support our security efforts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering, with a focus on cloud security.
- Proven track record of identifying and mitigating security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Strong understanding of security protocols and systems, including encryption, access control, and authentication.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in data analysis, hazard assessment, risk and fraud investigation, security vulnerabilities, or ethical hacking.
- Ability to comprehend and review code in one or more general purpose languages.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence others.
