As we enter a phase of rapid growth, our engineering team is seeking a seasoned Senior Back-End Developer, proficient in Python, with a T-shaped skill set and expertise in frameworks such as FastAPI. Given our focus on the latest AI solutions, a keen interest in machine learning, particularly in LLMs like ChatGPT, would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and enhance web applications and data processing systems.
- Guide and mentor developers on best practices in back-end development and industry standards.
- Debug, deploy, and maintain large-scale applications, including APIs and processing pipelines.
- Evaluate trade-offs in designing and implementing features for back-end systems.
- Collaborate closely with Frontend developers, Product Managers, and other Agile team members to implement new features.
- Stay updated on industry standards and technologies, applying them to enhance our products.
- Contribute to product discovery phases, providing valuable insights into user needs and potential solutions.
Overview of Our Technology Stack:
- Our web application is built using JavaScript.
- Data storage solutions include ElasticSearch and MongoDB, with plans to integrate SQL-based and vector databases.
- Server-side and data pipelines are developed in Python and FastAPI.
- Our infrastructure is hosted on AWS, utilizing EC2 and Lambda functions.
- Data pipelines focus on analyzing textual data to identify patterns within extensive narratives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in back-end development.
- Proficient in Python, including familiarity with common API frameworks (e.g., FastAPI) and libraries (e.g., pandas).
- Some experience in front-end development and a willingness to engage in front-end tasks as needed.
- Knowledge of AWS environments and Unix/Linux systems.
- Strong understanding of development best practices, including SOLID principles, testing, and CI/CD.
- Residing within a commutable distance of Valencia and willing to work from the Datamaran hub regularly.
- Fluency in English is essential, as we operate in a global environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with front-end frameworks.
- Proven experience with machine learning tools in Python (e.g., pandas, spaCy, langchain).
- Understanding of architectural concepts such as MVC, CQRS, and DDD.
- Experience with relational databases, MongoDB, and/or ElasticSearch.
- Familiarity with Airflow (preferably version 2).
- Experience in building data processing pipelines.
