The Warehouse Systems Specialist (WSS) will be integral to an internal support team that views Maersk and other operational groups as valued clients. This dynamic role encompasses being a subject matter expert in operations processes and systems, along with responsibilities in project management, technical documentation, and continuous enhancement. Our initiatives include ensuring seamless onboarding for new customers, implementing new systems, standardizing processes, promoting best practices throughout the organization, and driving digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

This role will focus on the following initiatives:

  • Facilitating and managing new customer implementations.
  • Overseeing and executing system implementations.
  • Leading digital transformation initiatives and contributing to their development.
  • Addressing and resolving dynamic operational and systemic challenges.
  • Documenting processes and assisting in training and implementation.
  • Promoting change with a continuous improvement mindset aimed at identifying and resolving safety, compliance, and operational inefficiencies.
  • Assessing the effectiveness of tools utilized by operators to ensure optimal return on investment.
  • Developing reporting tools and key performance indicators to enhance visibility into business trends.
  • Addressing ad-hoc customer requests.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading new business and systems implementations.
  • Executing Level 1 and 2 configurations of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Crafting technical documents such as Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and process maps.
  • Training users on systems and processes.
  • Managing, communicating, and resolving operational, process, and systems issues.
  • Proactively identifying trends, process enhancements, and customer needs, proposing and implementing solutions.
  • Acting as a liaison for cross-functional support teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Developing and executing project plans that span multiple departments.
  • Establishing measurable goals for projects and initiatives.
  • Monitoring progress throughout projects and initiatives.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications.
  • Ability to swiftly learn new systems or software.
  • Strong writing skills, with clarity and conciseness.
  • Capacity to approach situations with tact, emotional intelligence, and discretion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-oriented mindset.
  • Adaptability to change and ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and driven.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of the local language is advantageous.
