Job Summary:
The Duty Manager is a key role within Deutsche Lufthansa AG, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of airport activities. This position requires a strong leader who can effectively manage daily flight supervision, customer relationships, and supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and Maintain Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with premium customers, recognizing and rewarding top customers in collaboration with LHG.
- Customer Care Ambassador: Act as a customer care ambassador, providing exceptional service and support to customers.
- Flight Supervision: Conduct daily flight supervision, ensuring timely departures and arrivals.
- Frontline Presence: Be present on the frontline, wearing a LHG uniform, and monitor the performance of all suppliers involved.
- Procedure Development: Contribute proactively to the development and modification of procedures, adhering to defined carrier's rules and regulations.
- Station Management: Collaborate with the Station Manager in the general organization of the station, including IT, system accesses, accounting, filing, training, database, and reporting tools.
- Safety and Security: Provide safety and security in the area of responsibility, adhering to authority and airline requirements.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of work experience on the airport or ground handling, and a minimum of 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience, e.g., duty manager or supervisor.
- Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken English and Spanish language skills required. Knowledge of German language desirable.
- Travel and Shift Work: Willingness to travel and work shifts.
- Eligibility: Must be currently eligible to work and remain indefinitely without any restrictions in the country to which you are making an application.
