Job Summary
The Design Manager will be responsible for delivering all design-related processes and mechanisms, with the ultimate goal of launching new ATS Sortation Centers (Build To Suit, Retrofit, Extensions and Initiatives) across EU & UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ATS design standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements across EU and UK.
- Conduct design reviews across 5 stages of each project's lifecycle, including due diligence, test fits layout approval as the basis of site selection.
- Provide technical expertise on design topics to the TES preconstruction/construction team through regular office hours.
- Lead strategic value engineering concepts aiming at improving ATS building design.
- Continuously improve design and change processes.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in project management, real estate development, architecture/design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in architecture or engineering.
- Experience operating within at least two disciplines in the construction industry, which could consist of General Contracting, Owner's Representation, Commercial Development, Engineering & Design, owners project management representative or similar.
- Demonstrated capability in the planning, design review & implementation, and project management/control of new structures & the enhancement of existing facility buildings.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary design incorporating industrial automation, robotics, or similar.
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
- Demonstrated success in communicating to various audiences (e.g. senior management, peers, public officials, vendors, etc.).
- Knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM).
- Participation during a previous new FC/ATS Design Review at Amazon in any role would be desired.
- German, French, Polish, Arabic, and Turkish are considered preferred qualifications.
