Treasury Expert

Sibelco, a global material solutions company, is seeking a skilled Treasury Specialist to join our Bilbao Office team. As a key member of our treasury team, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring global treasury back-office activities, including daily cash management for the group and responsibilities for the internal treasury company accounting.

• Verify bank statements and reconcile balances to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Collect, reconcile, and resolve bank abnormalities related to interests, guarantees, and bank costs.
• Manage cash pools, opening, closing, moving accounts, and oversee treasury transactions initiated by the group.
• Ensure timely and accurate treasury payments and internal FX deals.
• Comply with external treasury reporting requirements.

• Account for treasury transactions in the ERP (SAP), including fees on funding, interest on loans, and revaluation of balance sheet items in foreign currencies.
• Follow up on hedge accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Responsible for closing and reporting of the financial statements of the treasury and internal reassurance company to the group.

• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role with proven experience in treasury accounting under IFRS.
• Accuracy and focus on process improvement.
• Good communication skills with a proactive approach.
• Oral and written fluency in English and Spanish.
