Product Design and Project Management Expert

Ekkiden is seeking a highly skilled Product Design Engineer and Project Management Specialist to lead organizational, operational, and technological transformation projects in IT/Digital, Industry/R&D, and Sustainability for large enterprises and SMEs in France, Switzerland, Spain, and Germany.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and validate product designs that meet customer specifications and industry standards.
  2. Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and industry best practices.
  3. Participate in upstream phases of the project, including expertise and acquisition phases.
  4. Analyze customer needs and develop operational specifications.
  5. Define product design concepts that meet customer specifications and GD&T, ensuring adherence to Plastic Omnium standards.
  6. Ensure design for manufacturing (assembly, paint, plant & packaging) are fulfilled.
  7. Act as the primary technical contact with customers during design and tuning phases.
  8. Provide functional specifications for baby parts.
  9. Manage risk analysis (DFMEA + Design reviews) and ensure product validation (functional, geometry, and cosmetic quality).
  10. Anticipate product tuning (mold tuning, checking fixture tuning).
  11. Project Management:
  12. Develop initial Statements of Work for product engineering perimeters, including extended teams, project perimeters, development budgets, and Optimap Work Packages.
  13. Establish engineering project planning and manage project reviews, consolidating actions and providing reporting and action plans.
  14. Participate in QUAD reviews and track perimeter changes, reporting to the PM.
  15. Propose adjustments and modifications linked to perimeter evolution during project lifetime.
  16. Budget Management:
  17. Ensure product PRU commitment for design-relevant criteria.
  18. Determine project provisional budgets (hours and cost) and allocate budgets to extended teams, guaranteeing resource availability with managers.
  19. Determine internal and external perimeters regarding SOW and track changes due to customer or internal ones, reporting to the PM.
  20. Propose adjustments and modifications linked to perimeter evolution during project lifetime.
  21. Monitor project budgets and release warnings to PM and métiers managers in case of gaps.
  22. Contribute to investment optimization through part design.
  23. Continuous Improvements:
  24. Participate in capitalization and productivity actions.
  25. Contribute to project closure and provide feedback on best practices and difficulties at the end of the project.
