Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Hub Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager to join our team at Hitachi Energy. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving our HSE policies and ensuring a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental excellence throughout our European High Voltage Products operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement HSE Programs: Govern, foster, and support the implementation of proactive and positive health, safety, and environmental culture in our High Voltage Products European Hub, aligned with our Business Unit (BU) HSE improvement plan and Hitachi Energy's HSE policy.
- Provide Leadership and Support: Offer guidance, leadership, and advice to ensure consistency in the implementation, application, and compliance of the HSE Management System Standards in our operating units (OUs) within the European Hub.
- Coach and Develop Employees: Coach people at all levels of the organization with methods and training to realize an exemplary safety culture, develop functional competence to ensure a highly professional and competent HSE function is evident in the High Voltage Products European Hub.
- Report and Track Progress: Own HSE performance, including timely reporting of HSE incidents, ensuring robust investigations, and the generation of Lessons learned materials. Report progress on implementation of High Voltage Products, Hitachi Energy HSE objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Coordinate and Align HSE Initiatives: Coordinate and align HSE initiatives and actions with the aim of standardization within the Hub and track progress of implementation.
- Contribute to Risk Management: Contribute to effective risk management of HSE-related issues by providing specialist knowledge and advice on key business decisions to the Hub and OU management team(s).
- Promote HSE Culture: Promote Hitachi Energy's HSE culture to our clients, other departments, and employee groups. Share information to promote awareness of Hitachi Energy procedures relating to HSE.
