About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Celonis Labs Engineering team in Madrid. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing the performance and career development of engineers up to the Staff level, building and maintaining an engineering culture of trust, ownership, and collaboration, and contributing technically within the team's scope.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Celonis Labs Engineering team in Madrid to successfully deliver their mission.
  • Manage the performance and support the career development of engineers up to the Staff level.
  • Build and maintain an engineering culture of trust, ownership, and collaboration within your team and adjacent teams.
  • Take an active part in hiring and growing the team according to business needs.
  • Contribute technically within the team's scope.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Solution Owners, and other leads on goals and strategies around people, technology, and processes.
  • Advocate for the team; provide upward and outward visibility of the team and their work.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in an Engineering Manager or technical leadership position.
  • Strong technical knowledge (5+ years of experience in software engineering is expected).
  • Experience working with Javascript or Typescript, microservices.
  • Knowledge of cloud providers, Kubernetes, CI/CD is also highly appreciated.
  • Knowledge around Agile concepts (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Continuous Delivery).
  • Ability to lead and make decisions to define the road ahead.
  • Ability to resolve technical conflicts when necessary, fostering a positive environment for escalations.
  • Ready to roll up your sleeves to help your team.
  • Strong communication skills (English language), allowing you to collaborate smoothly with people across the business and technical domains.
