We are seeking an experienced Property Underwriter to join our team at AXA XL. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for reviewing submissions, conducting research, and determining the degree of risk for each account.
Key Responsibilities- Review policy wording, inspection reports, and financial reports to determine the degree of risk for each account.
- Calculate appropriate risk premium by considering the risk costs inherent to the sector.
- Advise, assist, and service clients on insurance and risk management matters to ensure satisfaction and fulfillment of their insurance requirements.
- Develop high-quality relationships with brokers, clients, and internal functions to initiate opportunities for cross-selling and ensure account retention.
- Control timely implementation of new and renewed accounts according to quality standards.
- Support the business planning and forecasting process, monitoring financial exposure within outlined limits, and monitoring premium income to ensure it remains within set limits.
- Maintain awareness of all claims advised.
- Previous experience in a UW Property role or knowledge of the Insurance/Risk industry and Property risks.
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to perform fact and data-based analyses of situations or issues.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Motivation to grow professionally in a high-expertise team and work environment.
- Ability to respond to a changing environment with flexibility and innovation.
