Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Cost Optimization Specialist to join our team. As a FinOps expert, you will play a critical role in managing and enhancing cloud costs for RavenPack. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring and analyzing cloud usage and spending data to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborating with finance, operations, and technology teams to spearhead cost optimization initiatives
- Recommending adjustments to cloud service usage, pricing models, and purchasing options
- Developing and maintaining financial forecasts and tracking cloud costs
- Creating reports and dashboards to monitor and communicate cloud cost optimization efforts to stakeholders
- Translating reports and forecasts into stakeholder insights (ROI, risk analysis)
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess a robust understanding of cloud technology, financial management principles, and data analysis. You should also have proficiency in utilizing tools and software for managing and analyzing cloud spending data. Additionally, strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
Working with IT Suppliers
You will be responsible for managing relationships with dozens of IT suppliers and providers, including Amazon Web Services, Snowflake, and other technology providers. Your main responsibility will be to help identify new vendors, keep costs under control, and mature those relationships for a satisfactory workflow.
