The Role
We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to build and lead a new team of engineers in our Madrid location. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and growing a team of engineers. You will foster a collaborative culture and enable your team to be generalist engineers and experts for the Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and solutions we built around the Celonis platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Celonis Labs Engineering team in Madrid to successfully deliver their mission
- Manage the performance and support the career development of engineers up to the Staff level
- Build and maintain an engineering culture of trust, ownership, and collaboration within your team and adjacent teams
- Take an active part in hiring and growing the team according to business needs
- Contribute technically within the team's scope
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Solution Owners, and other leads on goals and strategies around people, technology, and processes
- Advocate for the team; provide upward and outward visibility of the team and their work
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in an Engineering Manager or technical leadership position
- Strong technical knowledge (5+ years of experience in software engineering is expected)
- Experience working with Javascript or Typescript, Node.Js, microservices
- Knowledge of cloud providers, Kubernetes, CI/CD is also highly appreciated
- Knowledge around Agile concepts (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
