Job Title: Managing Producer, Wondery

Wondery, an Amazon company, is a leading podcast studio known for creating engaging, character-driven stories. As a Managing Producer, you will oversee the production processes for our original productions, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery of high-quality content.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement production calendars, schedules, and processes across the department.
  • Manage deliverable schedules and show budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Coordinate production logistics with internal staff and external production companies, ensuring seamless collaboration.
  • Act as the main point of contact between the DE Podcast Content team and other Wondery departments, facilitating the delivery of needed assets.
  • Oversee and support producers with remote and studio recordings, providing guidance and feedback as needed.
  • Provide feedback on scripts and sound design for new and ongoing shows, ensuring consistency and quality.
Requirements:
  • A team player with excellent project management skills, able to pivot and creatively problem-solve.
  • Experience overseeing creative aspects of development, production, and post-production.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a bias for action.
  • Deep knowledge of the podcast industry, with a focus on premium content.
  • Effective leadership and diplomatic communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as a producer, production manager, or line producer, with a focus on podcast production.
  • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and cost reporting, with a focus on podcast production.
  • Fluent in German and English (C1+ level).
