About the Role
As a Transformation Consultant, you will work in a growing global team, providing industry and topic expertise and insights while working together with case and proposal teams to provide knowledge assets, methodologies, software solutions, analysis, and expert advisory. You'll serve as a thought partner and content expert to case teams and topic/sector leaders, helping structure and solve complex issues.
Additionally, you will support your topic/sector in developing existing and new intellectual property and knowledge/software assets. You will work on commercialization efforts for the topic/sector, in conjunction with business leaders, supporting marketing efforts, conferences, and publications. As a Transformation Consultant, you will assist with on-boarding, training, and guiding junior colleagues and share best practices within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with BCG case teams, clients, and experts to understand business problems and suggest appropriate methodology/software solutions based on client's business needs and program specifics.
- Demonstrate understanding of the client's overall problem and generate framework or solutions for team quickly.
- Gain a deep understanding of BCG Transform & Post-Merger-Integration (PMI) methodologies, proactively applying them to client cases through relevant knowledge assets or software solutions.
- Serve as a thought partner, providing problem-solving insights and sector expertise, while building credibility with case teams and clients.
- Manage implementation project plans with clients, setting realistic expectations based on current methodology, product, and service offerings.
- Engage in a solution-oriented approach, addressing client inquiries and issues timely, while continuously seeking opportunities for service improvement.
- Collect, synthesize, and analyze case team learnings and outputs to develop new proprietary assets.
- Translate methodology into applicable software product(s) where required; configure solutions to tailor it to client context to generate insightful solutions (no technical/coding knowledge required).
- Collaborate with Client, Engineering, and relevant Support teams to help diagnose and resolve software-related technical and/or non-technical problems, bugs, performance, and other issues.

- Effectively transferring expertise and capabilities to fully enable client teams.
- Discussing challenges beyond immediate scope of the project and building lasting relationships with stakeholders.
- Engaging audience, projecting self-assurance, and displaying a strong presence.
- Confidently making decisions and escalating issues and decisions when appropriate.
- Working independently or virtually, as well as in a team environment.
- Communication Skills with outstanding written and oral skills; able to adapt communication style to multiple stakeholders and cultures.
- MVP (minimum viable product) based solutioning, client support, and customer success.
Requirements
- Up to 3 years of experience in a Transformation topic or in consulting preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in business management/administration, Finance, or related topics (advanced degree preferred).
- Excellent in written and verbal English. For the Munich location, German (B2+) is required. Additional language skills are always good to have.
